with Microsoft Certification for All-Flash Array Appliance

Millions of IOPS Performance Tuned for Windows Server, Storage Spaces Deployments

 

Anaheim, CA May 12, 2016 -- DataON Storage, trusted provider of hyper-converged platforms for the Software-Defined Datacenter, today announced the Microsoft® certification of the CiB-9224 F1 all-flash Cluster-in-a-Box for Windows® Server 2012 R2, Storage Spaces. Built on the inaugural certified software-defined Storage Spaces platform, DataON’s freshly certified CiB-9224 F1 empowers organizations to transition into a self-contained, highly available, hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) using best-of-breed compute and shared-storage technology. The CiB-9224 F1 is optimized to utilize Western Digital Corporation’s HGST Ultrastar solid-state drives (SSDs) as a hot tier shared across active dual-nodes via end-to-end next generation 12Gb/s SAS expanders and 10Gb Ethernet internal heartbeat for failover and failback resiliency. Microsoft hyper-converged appliances require fault tolerance, scalability, and continuously available clustered nodes to achieve breakthrough I/O performance. The CiB-9224 F1 all flash pure storage appliance delivers in excess of two million read IOPS and over 1.1 million write IOPS performance with better than 11 GB/s throughput speeds. Windows’ Storage Spaces is flash-tuned for read intensive and simultaneous write-back cache applications such as SQL Server databases, online transaction processing (OLTP), high-performance computing (HPC), and big data analytic—without contributing to data center hardware sprawl.
